The Testing of our Faith

The testing of your faith develops perseverance - James 1:2-3 Painful situations produce character the same way exercise works on  our body. Testing proves our faith is genuine - 1st Peter 1:7 When the heat is on, who we actually are, and what we truly believe is revealed. The testing of our faith also gives honor to God. Remaining faithful despite suffering testifies to others how much we value Him. Testing gets rid of unrefined qualities - job 23:10 We come forth as gold. Hebrews 12:6-8 says testing proves we are His children (discipline) Job 1:8 - God was proud of Job and his faith. He allowed the trials to "show off" to satan. He demonstrated his devotion to Him. See this as a God-given opportunity to cooperate with His plans. Discover your weaknesses thru His infinite strength. Let Jesus be your strength.
