A Rerun

I wrote this post back in 2007 and I thought it was a good demonstration of God's goodness so I am rerunning it. We were going thru a very bad time , what with the tornado hitting my house, me having my 5th miscarriage, my daughter having open heart surgery, and my husband losing his job, all within a few months.

This morning I was feeling a little down about everything and I prayed that the Lord would show Himself to me just to let me know He was still with me. I prayed that if He was still with me He would make sure that there was a bag of coffee at the food bank today for me to have.
Well I got there and guess what, there was no coffee. I started praying immediately and said to myself, now, Tami you aren't going to let a little thing like coffee take away your faith, are you? but deep down inside, it hurt.

When I got home from the food bank a friend of mine who read my blog called and told me she wanted to give us lunch today. mmmmm- chicken and corn! Anyway, when I went to pick up the lunch, she said she had a bag in the car for me also. She mentioned that while in the store, buying the chicken and corn, she was praying to God to show her something she should get for us because she felt so badly for us. She turned the corner of the aisle and saw COFFEE. She remembered how much I enjoy it and knew that the Lord had directed her to it.
When i opened the bag I was stunned and felt very remembered by the Lord.
 just had to share.

I love it when the Lord shows us he is listening and he does care through other believers. What a story of his faithfulness and caring.

This is great! And it makes me feel better about having to go to the food bank.
