Couponing

a few deals i have recently scored big on with my couponing.

i used $1 off coupons to buy cereal at target. i bought 3 for the price of 1!! then when i purchase 5 boxes total i received a $5 gift card!

i used $1 off coupons to purchase cascadian farms cereal making the price per box $1.88. BUT each box had $3.50 in coupons on the back- including $1.50 off fruit!!! i made money on all these boxes- (i bought 9)

i discovered a new brand of pasta at the store priced at $1.32 per box. each box had a $1 off coupon! so i bought 17 boxes at 32 cents each :)

i printed coupons from my new fav site-
and printed 2 of them for $1 off ANY hot wheels products. one "little" car is only 97 cents so i made 3 cents per transaction .

another dinner out for hubby and me . this time it was the red lobster. mmmmm! each meal was less than $10 and i had a $4 off coupon, making our total $14. which i paid for with a $10 gift card i earned at mypoints.com. AGAIN!
i paid $4 for the 2 of us.

all you magazine ran a promotion at walmart , selling their magazine for just $1.88. i had a $1 off coupon!!! i paid 88 cents and grabbed all the coupons inside too. a big win for me!!

i do try to plan my meals around my coupons.this week nitrite free hot dogs and beans, spaghetti and tacos are both on the menu. why? becuz i have coupons for the items needed!

my biggest deal ever was buying $103 worth of items for $3!!! ah those were the days!! it's a bit harder to do nowadays since the paper doesn't carry much in the way of coupons and the big papers don't deliver here anymore but i am trying!

sites i like for coupons besides my new fav listed above- coupons.com, couponsurfer.com, redplum.com, target.com, smartsource.com.

go to twitter and search for coupons! you'll be amazed at what you find! write to companies asking for them. share with your friends. flip thru every magazine.

print the store's coupon policy and carry it with you. don't let an uninformed clerk ruin a good deal. just smile, be patient and polite!! AND PRAY BEFORE EVERY TRIP!!i do and i have taught my children to do so too.

WAKE UP !

California Congresswoman Diane Watson praises Castro, Chavez, Cuban healthcare.

- Rep. Gene Green (D-Houston) today joined millions of Americans across the country in celebrating the anniversary of Cesar E. Chavez birthday. Green also praised Chavez for his dedication to equal rights and service to his country.
"We are proud to honor Cesar Chavez, one of Americas greatest civil rights advocates for justice, equality, and service to others, said Green. Today, we celebrate 77 years of Cesar's legacy. And we pay special tribute to his significance in American history and to his commitment for a prosperous America."
(this is a few yrs old but Green is still in office.)

The Honorary Chairperson of the Democratic Socialists of America
, 80-year old Dolores Huerta, is indoctrinating US students, and inciting violence against Americans. Huerta has been tapped by Cong Grijalva (D-Ariz) to praise the virtues of Hugo Chavez and the supposed socialistic "advances" in Venezuela.
Hilda Solis is Obama's appointee to head the US Labor Department.Solis is forcing taxpayers to underwrite advertisements featuring Dolores Huerta that instructs illegal aliens to fight for fair wages.

Navy Secretary
Ray Mabus on Wednesday said it was an honor to name the last of 14 Lewis and Clark-class cargo ships after the late farm worker activist Cesar Chavez — saying the vessels honor American visionaries who changed the country and the world for the better.
13 congressmen praised him.

Audio from Department of Labor representative Dolores Huerta’s speech praising Venezualan dictator Hugo Chavez and saying “Republicans hate Latinos,” reveals that Huerta’s appearance seems to have been supported by Congressman Raul M. Grijalva (D-AZ)  The speech addressed students at Tucson High Magnet School.

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney Praises Gaddafi’s ‘Green Book’ Of Socialism

US Republican Senator John McCain praised Libya's leader Muammar Gaddafi for his peacemaking role in Africa and said Congress would support expanding ties.

yes it's 2009 BUT he says he might run again. this is who you want as president?

THIS IS JUST A FEW THINGS I AM SHARING. WERE YOU AWARE OF THE SOCIALISTS AND MARXISTS ON OUR OWN GOVERNMENT, PRAISING THE OTHER SOCIALISTS AND MARXISTS OF OTHER COUNTRIES?

UN’S AGENDA 21

UN’S AGENDA 21?
On June 9, 2011, President Obama signed his 86th Executive Order.
Section One of 13575 states the following:

Section 1. Policy. Sixteen percent of the American population lives in rural counties. Strong, sustainable rural communities are essential to winning the future and ensuring American competitiveness in the years ahead. These communities supply our food, fiber, and energy, safeguard our natural resources, and are essential in the development of science and innovation. Though rural communities face numerous challenges, they also present enormous economic potential. The Federal Government has an important role to play in order to expand access to the capital necessary for economic growth, promote innovation, improve access to health care and education, and expand outdoor recreational activities on public lands.

Tami--sounds good right? NOPE! no more gardens. no more chickens. no more free farms. the government has known for a long time that those of us who live in rural counties can fend for ourselves. this bothers them! so they will be, if successful, taking away all our rights to do so.

“sustainable rural communities” -- As we know from researching the UN plan for Sustainable Development known as Agenda 21, these are code words for the true fundamental transformation America.

The third sentence also makes it quite clear that the government intends to take greater control over “food, fiber, and energy.”

The last sentence in Section 1 further clarifies the intent of the order by tying together “access to the capital necessary for economic growth, health care and education.

read the entire article to learn how: Virtually every aspect of rural life seems to now be part of the government’s mission. And while all of the items in (b) sound like typical government speak, you should be alarmed when you read the words “nongovernmental organizations” (NGOs). NGOs are unelected, but typically government-funded groups that act like embedded community organizers. And NGOs are key to Agenda 21′s plans

what i do

being concerned about chemicals and disease

we buy meat from an amish butcher. 1 cow at a time. i want to buy only grassfed but unfortunately i just can;t afford it.

we grow our own fruit and veggies, as much as possible. no chemicals in my garden! i buy only fresh when i need to fill in the gaps. i do buy canned to put in the emergency cabinet becuz i don;t have enough canned from my garden yet- but soon i will! then no more!

fresh milk from a farm will replace jugs from walmart. cheese is bought at the amish place too.

we have chickens so we will be getting our own fresh eggs.

oils- coconut, palm, olive- all will be bought online since i live in a small town without a lot of resources. the coconut oil at wally world is refined and i don't like that. mountainroseherbs.com is my choice. and tropical traditions too.

we make as many of our personal supplies as possible. both toothpaste and shampoo are easy , for other things like lotion i buy organic online. soap comes from the goat farm!

i make all our cleaners. all 2 of them lol baking soda and vinegar are all you need to clean anything, including laundry.

seasonings - i want to buy online since i found organic ones in glass jars but the price is just too much for hubby to take lol

oats and wheatberries are bought at emergency essentials and i make our oatmeal and flour.

i need to find an affordable source for nuts and beans since i hate the plastic used to wrap them. if you know of any let me know!

we avoid plastic at all costs! both walmart and target sell affordable shower curtains - which is very important! the chemicals leach out and poison you even more when you add the steam from a hot shower. japan actually outlawed the sale of plastic shower curtains!!

i don't wear makeup so problem solved lol but there are several companies online to buy from.

oh! and no white sugar! we bake with honey now :)
what do you do?

ALL 613?!

someone asked: If you believe we are to keep the 600 plus laws, do you follow all of them? How can you keep track of them?
Do you stay away from your husband, in a different area when you have your menses?
Do you do not even begin to pick up a a spoon to stir the pot as to not work on Sabbath?
Did you marry a Jew? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interfaith_marriage_in_Judaism

fair question.

what i will say is BE VERY CAREFUL THAT YOU ARE NOT READING MAN'S VERSION OF THE TORAH INSTEAD OF GOD'S.

I discovered that many many things that i thought were God's law really was only a man's law. for example- you may have read that we are not to eat meat with dairy. that isn't in the bible. it says not to boil a kid with it's mother's milk. not that you can't eat a cheeseburger. more HERE

you mentioned staying away from my husband during my cycle. why? the bible doesn't say that. some rabbi said that. the bible says to avoid sex during that time. which science points out gives a woman a better chancs to become pregnant -- which is the reasoning behind God's instruction.

i don't have to marry a jew. that instruction was written as
Deu 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

Deu 7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

see? we aren't to marry those who worship a false god. for fear that our spouse's false religion will become ours. again- some man decided that meant "only marry a jew"

actually most of Torah is not hard to follow or to remember. most of it is pure common sense. like don't eat an animal that has lain down and died on the side of the road. why? because whatever killed it can kill you. easy to remember and easy to follow.

the no work on the sabbath? that refers to occupation, work, business. not changing a diaper, stirring a pot, shutting off a light switch etc. since my work involves housework i do try to refrain from laundry , vacuuming and such but i certainly don't worry about making a sandwich. again- man's law not God's instruction.

hope i have answered your qs. i certainly don't know everything but i have studied some and i'm always glad to share :)

i just had to share this!

found HERE

In Bible times, a woman was responsible for keeping the hearth fire burning at all times, as it was vital for food, warmth, and light. It was, in a sense, imperative to life itself. To "keep the home fires burning," so to speak, she had to be a keeper at home in the purest sense! Letting her hearth fires die brought embarrassment upon her home, for she would then have to walk through her village balancing a fireless brazier atop her head for all to see, and beg for another woman to have mercy and "heap coals of fire on (her) head." (Romans 12:20) (Tami's note- the fire needed to be stoked every 20 minutes or else it would go out. during every month of the year, not just winter)

Indeed, the phrase "keeper at home" in Titus describes a most crucial role in the preservation of the family, more extreme in import than a modern reader might assume. Yet it remains true even today that when a woman turns away from her hearth fires, the choicest venue of her service to the Lord lies cold and dark. But when she diligently tends her hearth, she blesses Him by creating the most appealing and treasured spot on His earth - a home away from our true home in Heaven; a warm, magnetic center of life for those He places in her care. Light shines forth from it, and all within are nurtured and content. If we are wise, we will build such a joyous haven!

Concerning the Law

if i tell my 2 year old not to touch the hot burner i will add "or i'll spank you". why? because he is too young to fully grasp the concept and i don't want him to be hurt. he understands a spanking so i use that as a punishment.

if i tell my 10 yr old not to touch the hot burner i don't bother to warn him with a punishment because he is old enough to understand without one.

now- because i didn't warn with a punishment to my older child does that mean my instruction is worthless and to be ignored? of course not! anyone of any age can be burned from a hot burner so the instruction/teaching is still valid. just the punishment is removed.

when Jesus died for us He removed the punishment from the Law but that doesn't mean we are to ignore the Law. it is still good instruction. so why would you not follow it?

the Law states we are not to eat pork. God will not punsih us if we do. BUT do you know that science has backed up God? pigs are the only animal that doesn't sweat, releasing it's toxins. so when you eat pork you are eating toxins! same goes for the catfish that God warned us against eating. they are the trash eaters of the water. why would you want to eat trash?

the list goes on and on but i'll stop there. my point is if God warned us against something why would we ignore that warning/teaching just because the punishment was taken away?

Working Outside the Home? NO!

i am being lazy i guess, rerunning posts. but someone mentioned something about working outside the home so i thought i'd put up some links that do a better job than i do of explaining why i don't believe women should work outside the home.

you must read this!

China Wants To Construct A 50 Square Mile Self-Sustaining City South Of Boise, Idaho

A Rerun of a Popular Post.

i was asked if am dresses only and the answer is yes. the reason is this verse-

1Ti 2:9
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

the meaning of apparel does not mean clothing! the word apparel as used here is only used 1 time in all of scripture and it is used to describe what a woman should wear. (why does everyone's thoughts run to "this is a lack of freedom or a persecution thing? why does celebrating your femininity have to be a bad thing?)

the word used is katastolē-it means:

1) a lowering, letting down

2) a garment let down, dress, attire

how do you let down pants? (no smart alek remarks about hems here ladies!~smile~)

anyway i wrote this awhile ago and i thought i would rerun it now :)

i want my girls to not only be modest but feminine also. i don't want them to wear dresses simply for the sake of wearing dresses but rather to celebrate their femininity. modest doesn't have to mean boring, dark, brooding colors and styles but can also be seen in bright flouncy colors and styles as well. something that says "i love being a girl" something that screams FEMALE.
you don't scream FEMALE when you slap on a pair of jeans and a tshirt. as a matter of fact, from a distance someone might not be able to tell you are a female ~smile~

God created woman to be , well, womanly. that doesn't mean you dress in a sexy or show-offy way but rather that you signify the differences between you and the males of this world.

i'm instilling this thought in my daughters, even at the young ages they are. we talk about being lady-like and being "all girl". i don't teach them to spend hours on their clothes or such things but rather to take care what they wear and to make sure it's feminine. we also discuss that their actions should be feminine as well.
my girls are being taught to EXPECT the boy to open the door ( and likewise my boys are being taught to open the door).
they are being taught to respect their elders and give preference to them ( such as the last seat or to give up their own seat) so why shouldn't they be taught these matters of etiquette?

manners matter, kindness matters and so does being masculine or feminine. since the parents are to train up their children we feel these things are part of their training. ~smile~

no i don't think you are going to hell if you wear pants. i just think you are missing out on God's best :) (don't hate me- i was asked!!)

- why is the calif. teacher's association working towards getting rid of israel instead of focusing on education?
note the last paragraph where obama totally agrees with them and look who gave $60 million to elect obama? remember God's view of israel in His Word? it differs mightily!
