the very best burger buns i ever had!

i wish i could say that i created this recipe but i didn't. i got it from recipezaar.

speedy wheat burger buns

preheat oven to 425

2 tablespoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/3 cup oil- i like olive oil
1/4 cup sugar (i am experimenting with other sweeteners)
1 egg
1/2 tsp kosher salt or 1 tsp sea salt (kosher is coarser is the reason)
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour ( the recipe calls for 2 cps white and 1 1/2 wheat but i don't use white)

dissolve yeast in large bowl in the warm water. stir in oil and sugar and let stand 5 min.
add egg salt, flour combining til it forms a soft dough. add more flour as needed to work with dough.. knead for 5 min. it will become very elastic (it's fun!)
divide dough into 8 disc shaped pieces. place about 3 inches apart on cookie sheet. let rest for 10 min before putting in oven. bake for 10 min.

Tami's Day Today

Outside my window...again it's dark! lol but if it was light you'd see trees :)

I am reading...a book about passover

I am hoping..that my garden grows well

I am hearing... the sound of all the fans blowing

On my mind… so much i couldn't write it all!

From the kitchen.. i just made blueberry muffins for tomorrow;s breakfast

Noticing that…i have new email

Pondering these words... there is something but it's private.

I am thankful for... a God who forgives me

From the Learning Rooms...i am planning next year's curriculum

I am wearing...a nightgown again- it is midnight- but earlier it was a black top and multicolored skirt

I am going...to plant flowers with my girls tomorrow

I am creating...the start of a christian family for generations. yep- we're the first!
I am thinking..that i wish there was more coffee.

A Scripture thought... this week's memory verse- john 3:15

A few plans for the rest of the week... making a cake or a pie, replanting the spearmint plant, and calling my friend down home.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you
