i believe that women are not to teach over men. not in a church setting. not outside of a church setting. witnessing- testifying to what God has done in your life = isn't teaching. imo
women can prophecy. it says so in the bible. women can pray. it says so in the bible.
here's what is new in my thinking. women shouldn't be teaching other women either. if you study out the word teach used in 1st tim. it means to teach the Word of God. it doesn't say but it's ok to teach it to women, just not men. it says don't teach.
think about it- back in bible times there was no ladies class. there was no sunday school. it was just families sitting together listening to a pastor. so if women were allowed to teach other women and children when were they doing it? not in church!
where were they doing it? at home! they were teaching young women BY EXAMPLE. not reading from the bible and stating their thoughts on the verses but rather leading by example in loving their husbands, taking care of their families.
so i guess that means that i shouldn't be teaching from my blog either, huh? unless i am teaching you how to be a keeper at home :)
